What happens after you press send

Between the press and the first message there are a few seconds of checks. This page is about them.

One press is enough

The button starts the work and gives back its number straight away, while the result arrives a little later — the progress and the outcome appear on the same screen. Keep the tab open until it reports that it is done, and press the button once: a second press starts the work a second time.

Why the checks arrive a few seconds late

Blackbox Business checks the balance, the length of the message, the sender name and the numbers at the moment of sending, against the state of your account at that moment — not while you are typing.

That is deliberate: a campaign prepared in the morning and started in the evening has to be checked against the evening. It is also why the form lets you press send with an empty balance and the answer arrives a few seconds later.

Progress and cancellation

While the work runs, the cabinet shows its progress. Cancel stops it, and what it stops is the preparation and everything not yet sent. Messages that have already gone stay sent: cancellation is not a refund.

You do not have to sit and watch: preparation is work that runs in the background, and the campaign is already in the reports while it runs.

Review before sending

A campaign may go for a human decision before it is sent; the text and the account decide whether it does. While it waits, the campaign keeps its recipients, and it goes out as soon as the decision is made.

What stops a campaign at the start

  • Not enough money. The balance and the credit limit together are below the cost of the campaign.
  • The sender name is still waiting for approval. It is in your list, and it works as soon as the approval arrives.
  • The selected books came out empty. Every number in them dropped out at preparation.
  • The message is longer than the allowed number of parts. The counter under the field shows where you are.
  • The same campaign already exists. The same text to the same recipients on the same day.
  • The campaign has no name. The name is set on the first step.

Each of these has an exact wording on the screen, and the full list with what to do about each lives on a separate page of this documentation.

Where the border runs

Everything on this page is about a campaign that did not start. A campaign that started, went out, and did not reach a particular subscriber is a different question with a different answer, and it belongs to the reports.
